Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913 by 22 collegiate women at Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need.  The Paducah Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on May 23, 1970 and serves counties within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, Kentucky.  The chapter lives out its purpose through programming that includes social action, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement. 

Comprised of 27 college-educational women, Paducah Alumnae Chapter has extensive programming and is proud of its signature programs over the past 46 years from Breakfast for Mi’Lady, Cotillion and Beautillion, Ms. Ebony, Delta-Derby and Jazz to Hats Off highlighting  physical and mental health, Delta Gems and Academy, Embodi,  tutoring and a series of  town hall meetings on teacher efficacy. 

Arts and Letters is an essential component of the Paducah Alumnae Chapter as evidenced by co-sponsorships in the community in bringing musicians and plays to the area to red carpet events for movie premiers.  We are honored to be affiliated with this new endeavor with Maiden Alley Cinema.
