With such masterpieces as Raising Arizona, Barton Fink, O Brother Where Art Thou, Fargo, No Country for Old Men and True Grit, the Coen Brothers are an iconic pair in the film world. We are asking artists to be inspired by the genius that is the Coen Brothers and create works that pay homage to these brothers. As a cinematic art house with gallery space, this is a
perfect collaboration of art and film.

REQUIREMENTS

Entry Fee - $15 Early Bird per entry
(After June 18th $20 per entry)
Submission Deadline – July 2, 2012
All 2-D mediums will be considered, but must be ready to hang. The work cannot be larger than 28”x30” due to space restrictions. The exhibition will hang in MAC Gallery from September 1 through November 4, 2012 and any items sold will be subject to a 40% commission retained by Maiden Alley Cinema and the Paducah Arts Alliance. Artwork can be submitted by mail, in person or digitally.

ON-LINE REQUIREMENTS
MUST be submitted as a .jpeg file
- Should not exceed 1 MB for each piece of artwork submitted
- 72 dpi, images should be a maximum of 1000 pixels wide; low res
- File name should read: Last name_First initial_image#.jpeg, Example: Bryant_L_3.jpeg

IN PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
- An appointment must be made to drop off work in person
- Contact landee@maidenalleycinema.org if you wish to do so
- If artwork isn’t ready to hang, it WILL NOT be accepted
- Submission fee must be paid at the time of drop off or it WILL NOT be accepted
- Entry Form must be submitted

MAIL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

- A non-refundable entry fee must be included

IMPORTANT
As an independent cinema we cater to a larger population than those who would simply view this exhibition in a gallery setting, thereby have to be sensitive to our audience. All works
submitted must be appropriate for young viewers as school groups frequent the space where the artwork will be displayed.
